Confirmation Eucharist

Our 26 candidates for Confirmation First Eucharist are in the final stages of their preparation for receiving these Sacraments. They are getting excited and I ask we keep all these children and their families in our prayers as they take this important step in their Faith Journey.

There are two ceremonies and it would be great to have support of other students to join us in the choir. If your child would like to join the choir Saturday 5pm May 30th or Sunday 9am May 31st they would be very welcome. Children may be dropped off 5 mins before Mass and picked up 75 mins after Mass. All children who join us will be treated to a hot chip lunch in the week following the ceremonies. Please let me know if your child is able to participate.

All Candidates will receive a final information letter by weeks end. A reminder to return the white card ASAP.

Fatima Day

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have postponed the Fatima Feast Day until Tuesday June 9th. We encourage all students in Fatima to dress in Red this day and celebrate their house colour and saint.

Feast of the Sacred Heart

A special event in the church calendar and life at Sacred Heart is our whole school feast day, The Feast of the Sacred Heart. We will be celebrating this day with a combined Mass in the MPB with Sacred Heart College at 10 am and then will return to school for a tabloid sports afternoon. We hope you can join us for this special liturgy.

Mercy Value

This week our Mercy Value focus is on Hospitality. The students are demonstrating this value well, by greeting others, using people’s names and sharing a smile. Well done to all. Don’t forget our Mercy Values Logo competition that we are currently running. We are encouraging all students to design the award or a logo related to a Mercy Value. Please keep those entries rolling in!
