Factory Visit Excursion
The Year 12 Business Management students went on an excursion recently to visit two manufacturing facilities in Melbourne to examine their manufacturing processes for their studies in Unit 3. The first was a chocolate factory called Ratio Cocoa Roasters.
For this visit, we examined the fermented cocoa bean before it is roasted and then looked at the process by which it is made into chocolate. After this, we visited the Yakult factory, which produces a probiotic drink commonly found in supermarkets. Students were able to see the use of machinery in the production of these items, and were also able to taste the finished product. This was an exciting learning experience for all students involved and really brought the theory to life!
