In Kitchen Garden this term, the Grade 1s have been learning about where our food and fibre comes from during our ‘Food and Fibre Production’ unit. They discovered that our food and fibre comes from plants and animals. Each student planted some lettuce seeds in a biodegradable pot and were able to take these home to take care of, and eventually plant in the garden to produce fresh food to use at home.
