Swimming Program

Students in Year 3/4 will participate in their compulsory intensive eight day swimming program starting next week; the daily program runs from Wednesday 1 May to Friday 10 May. The program will be run by Huntingtower Sports and Aquatic Centre (HSAC) in Mount Waverley. 

The swimming program is part of the Victorian Curriculum, as directed by the Department of Education, and children are expected to attend. The program will cover swimming techniques and strokes and water safety in 45 minute daily lessons at HSAC. 

Parent volunteers for each class are required to assist children get ready to return to school after each lesson. If you hold a current Working with Children Check, please speak to your child's teacher if you're available. 

Parents are welcome to attend at HSAC to watch their child's lesson. If attending to watch, you are not permitted to interact with your child at the pool, or take any photos or video. 

Program details have been published on Compass. Consent and payment is due now and not later than next Tuesday, 30 April. CSEF can be applied to this activity.
