Cubby Day 

On Monday 16 September the Preps transformed the Prep building into a construction zone! All the Preps looked absolutely fabulous dressed up as builders, with their work boots, flannel shirts, high-vis vests, tool belts and hard hats!  

The Preps did a wonderful job of cooperating throughout all the stages of building. We saw beautiful teamwork as the Preps planned, negotiated and constructed their cubbies. The Preps enjoyed finishing their cubbies off with all the finer details we find in our homes such as fridges and lounge rooms. 

Thank you also to all the staff and families for bringing in old boxes, sheets, blankets and tools to make the day a success, we all had so much fun! 

Prep and Year 5 Buddy Challenge: Building Fun! 

During the last week of Term 3, our Preps had fun catching up with their Year 5 buddies for a special activity. Together, they took part in an exciting building challenge related to our Unit of Inquiry. 

In their mixed-age groups, the Preps and Year 5s worked with marshmallows and toothpicks to construct the tallest structures they could imagine. It was a fantastic opportunity for collaboration, creativity, and lots of fun. 

The challenge not only reinforced their learning but also strengthened their friendships and teamwork skills. Everyone had a great time, and the results were truly impressive!  

Congratulations to Taj, Curtis, Marlow & Oliver for building the tallest tower which we measured to be 20cm tall!
