Med Central The Glen Clinic is pleased to support local schools this flu season by offering flu vaccinations for students and staff.
This year, we are providing a cell-based influenza vaccine, which is produced using advanced cell-based technology and avoids egg adaptation. This may offer improved protection against circulating flu strains compared to traditional egg-based vaccines.
We also offer a needle-free nasal spray influenza vaccine for children aged 2–17 years, which has been widely used internationally and provides a convenient alternative for those who prefer not to have an injection. Please note that this option is private only.
Influenza is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can spread quickly in school environments and lead to time away from school. Annual vaccination is the most effective way to reduce the risk of infection and help protect students, families, and the wider community.
Our clinic is conveniently located inside Priceline Pharmacy at The Glen (Lower Ground Floor), next to Coles. Students and staff can simply bring a printed or digital voucher when visiting, and our friendly team will assist with the vaccination.
