Year 4 Highlight

On the morning of Wednesday 18th March, the Year 4 students left school and embarked on a two-day Weekaway Recreational Camp. It was an exciting and memorable experience, filled with adventure, teamwork, and challenges!

From the moment we arrived, students eagerly embraced the many activities on offer. The Flying Fox was a definite highlight, with students soaring through the air and bravely stepping outside their comfort zones. During Archery, students practised patience and precision as they aimed for the target and worked to improve their skills.

Students also enjoyed a range of other exciting activities including Laser Tag, where they worked together in teams and showed great strategy and cooperation. The Crate Stack activity challenged students to carefully balance crates while climbing higher and higher, encouraging teamwork and communication.

Another favourite was the Possum Glider, where students were lifted into the air by their teammates and swung through the air in a pendulum motion, creating lots of excitement and laughter. The Low Ropes Course tested students’ balance, coordination and problem-solving skills as they navigated a series of obstacles. Finally, students tackled The Maze, working together to solve riddles, collect flags, and navigate their way through the twists and turns.

Students returned to school on Thursday 19th March with big smiles, new friendships, and a great sense of accomplishment. Camp was a wonderful experience that encouraged everyone to step outside their comfort zones, work together, and create lasting memories. We can’t wait for the next adventure!
