Year 3 Highlight

Our Grade 3 students have been enthusiastically exploring the concepts of civics and citizenship, learning about democracy, the different levels of government, and the role of political parties in shaping communities. As part of their Design-Based Learning (DBL) project, students are now working collaboratively in groups to create their own political parties. Each group is designing a unique party name and logo, developing a clear mission statement, and proposing three thoughtful policies that reflect the values and priorities they believe are important for a community. This engaging project encourages creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking, while helping students build a deeper understanding of how active citizenship can make a difference.
