Spotlight on Learning
Bethlehem Community
Dear Families,
Week 9 is here, and while the end of Term 2 is drawing near, there is still one more week of learning and achievement ahead! It has been wonderful to see our students approach their learning with curiosity, resilience, and enthusiasm throughout the term. They have embraced challenges, explored new ideas, and worked hard to achieve their goals, and we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished. School reports will be available soon, so please keep an eye out for these as they provide an opportunity to celebrate your child's progress and achievements. We also encourage all families to ensure they have booked a Parent Teacher Interview for Thursday 25 June. Thank you for your ongoing support as we look forward to a positive and productive finish to the term.

Religious Education: Students will consolidate their understanding of the Sacraments by creating a Confirmation Journey Path, demonstrating the key steps, symbols, and significance of the Sacrament of Confirmation.
English: Students continue to investigate the novel Free Diving, exploring characters, themes, and key events while developing their comprehension, vocabulary, and analytical thinking skills. They are also revising Greek and Latin roots, including psych, mind, -osis (idea or condition of), -otic (relating to), and -path (a person experiencing or suffering from something).
Mathematics: Students are learning about change and probability, exploring how numbers and situations can increase, decrease, and vary over time. They are developing their understanding of chance by identifying and describing the likelihood of different events in real-life contexts.
Integrated Curriculum: Students are presenting their inquiry findings and reflecting on global inequality, considering how individuals, communities, and governments can respond to challenges and contribute to a more equitable world.

Auslan: We are learning to recognise and use the Auslan alphabet and numbers to communicate information, spell words, and build confidence in signing.
Social & Emotional Learning: Students are developing their problem-solving skills and deepening their understanding of emotions. Through these lessons, they are building strategies to navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and prepare for a successful transition to secondary school and beyond.
