Health and Wellbeing Year 12 class-visiting guest speaker
The year 12 Health and Human Development class were fortunate to have Dr Murray Verso as a guest speaker to introduce their final outcome in their course work. Murray is Rotary’s Polio Coordinator for Australia and New Zealand and volunteered his time to talk to the students about the outstanding progress that has been made to eradicate this communicable disease worldwide. Murray spoke of the amazing work that Rotary has done over the past 35 years as a founding partner with the other organizations that make up the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Our year 12 students were so lucky to have his expertise and firsthand knowledge of such an incredible organisation and we would like to thank him and Rotary for all they do locally and globally. We have no doubt when the questions asks on that exam…’ Evaluate the success of a program that works to achieve SDG 3 Good Health and Wellbeing- remembering to include how it promotes Health and Wellbeing and Human Development – our students will think of Dr Murray Verso and the work of Rotary!
