Dance Concert

The whole school Dance Concert, The Greatest Show on Earth, will be held next Monday and Tuesday, 8 and 9 May, at Crossway Baptist Church, 2 Vision Drive (off Springvale Road), Burwood East. 

 

This is an exciting event that is part of our Dance, Drama and Health & P.E. programs and involves all students from Prep to Year 6. EHPS were preparing for the 'Space Trip' Dance Concert in 2020, but unfortunately due to the pandemic the show did not make it to the stage. The last whole school performance was 'Zootopia' back in 2018 (you might have seen Zootopia photos on the Office reception photo display). Jack May, Director of Momentum Arts Studios, and Amy have lead rehearsals since February. Students are prepared, excited and ready to show off all they have learnt. 

 

Your child is performing on one night only, and we have ensured that siblings are performing on the same night. Follow up with your child's teacher or the School Office if you are unsure which night your child is performing so your ticket purchase is for the correct night. 

 

As advised on Compass, tickets went on sale on 24 April. A ticket for each person attending to watch the performance must be purchased (do not buy a ticket for your EHPS child who is performing). Tickets are purchased online through Trybooking -  https://www.trybooking.com/CHIZV  - and cost: 

  • $28 for an adult 
  • $18 for a child under 14, Social Security Card holder or Seniors Card. 

Comprehensive information with all the details you need was sent home this week with each student, and a copy provided to parents by email, including:

  • concert dates and times
  • concert venue
  • rehearsal at the venue 
  • ticket sales
  • arrival time at venue
  • what does my child need to bring on the night, and 
  • what to wear for the concert. 

 

Please remember:

  • Monday 8 May - normal school day from 8.50am to 3.30pm. Wear school uniform. Students performing in Show 1 on Monday must be at school by 8.45am and will depart for their rehearsal at the venue at 9am sharp.
  • Tuesday 9 May - late start at 9.45am, finish at 3.30pm. Wear school uniform. Students attending Before School Care will be supervised by staff in the Hall from 8.45am to 9.45am.  
  • Wednesday 10 May - normal school day from 8.50am to 3.30pm.
