Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead Excursion
Year 2 will visit Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead in Wandin on Wednesday 17 May. This excursion is part of the Past to Present integrated unit this term. Students will learn about a range of historical concepts and explore a range of experiences, such as:
- Life in the family homestead
- Blacksmiths working at the forge
- How the family cooked in the timber slab kitchen
- Explore the historic 1920s weatherboard chapel
- View combustion engines in the vintage machinery workshop
- Investigate the eclectic artefacts in the museum.
Excursion details have been published on Compass. Consent and payment of $44 is payable now and not later than 10 May. CSEF can be applied to this activity; contact Cassy or Barb in the Office to check your CSEF balance.
