Student Voice &
Positive Environment
At Wyndham Central College, we believe in the power of student voice—the idea that every student has a valuable perspective and should have the opportunity to contribute to the direction of our school community. As part of this, I am excited to announce the election of our new SRC representatives. The SRC is the student body’s official voice in the school, and these representatives play a crucial role in making sure students’ ideas and concerns are heard by teachers and leaders. The SRC acts as a bridge between students and the school leadership, working to ensure that students have a say in important decisions that affect their school experience.
Congratulations to the following students elected to the SRC this year:
Year 7: Natalia Mesiti, Akshay Singh, Emily Kenny
Year 8: Rishik Verma, Maya Clarete, Eva Jenkins
Year 9: Swati Veerappan, Keegan Gaundan, Mishkat Jane
Year 10: Tondan Nguyen, Shania Edwards, Frangelica Mauceri
Year 11: Raquel Grey, Long Nguyen, Pam Vichittaving
Year 12: Max Nicholas, Hoeny Ruelo
As well as our school captains and vice captains: Tala Clarete, Alice Di, Nicole Sarmiento and Liam Power.
These students were elected by their peers based on their dedication to improving student life and their strong leadership qualities. We look forward to the ideas and initiatives they will bring forward to make our school community even stronger.
As students step into leadership roles, some students for the first time, it is important to build the skills of those students so they can lead effectively. To ensure this, all student leaders at the college participated in the ylead leadership training day held on Thursday 13th March. It was an opportunity for students to meet, build relationships and interact with other leaders throughout the College, as well as work together to build a strong leadership culture at the College, and collectively look at our student attitudes to school data and make action plans to continue to improve it.
It will be great to see what our student leaders of 2025 can do, and the positive impact they can have at the college.
