Westall Volleyball Program

at the Volleyball Victoria

Schools Cup

The Westall Volleyball Program has enjoyed an outstanding tournament at the recent Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup, with our students achieving fantastic results across both the Year 7 and Year 8 divisions.

Our Year 7 Girls produced an exceptional performance to finish 1st, becoming Schools Cup champions. The Year 7 Boys also had a tremendous tournament, finishing 2nd, while the Year 8 Girls secured an impressive 2nd place finish. The Year 8 Boys battled strongly throughout the competition to finish 4th.

Adding to the team's success, three Westall students were recognised with individual Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards. Congratulations to Grace Anavataua, who was named MVP of the Year 7 Girls division; Jamil Esmeil, who received the MVP award for the Year 7 Boys division; and Zairence Fernandez, who was awarded MVP of the Year 8 Girls division.

Westall Student Represents Victoria at School Volleyball Tournament

A huge congratulations to Year 9 student Zyenetta Harvey, who recently had the incredible opportunity to spend a week representing Victoria at the School Volleyball Tournament.

Zyenetta’s selection to represent Victoria is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of her dedication, talent and commitment to volleyball. Throughout the week, she had the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best school-aged volleyball players from across the state, representing Victoria with pride.

Being selected to a Victorian representative team is a significant accomplishment and reflects the hard work Zyenetta has put into developing her skills both on and off the court. The experience also provided her with the opportunity to challenge herself, build new connections and gain valuable experience competing at a high level.

We are incredibly proud of Zyenetta for representing Westall Secondary College and Victoria and for demonstrating the values of commitment, teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.

🌟 Congratulations, Zyenetta! 🌟

Your Westall community is incredibly proud of your achievement and we look forward to seeing where your volleyball journey takes you next! 🏐💙

i Create xpereience watching professional NBA

What an incredible opportunity for iCreate Basketball! Not every school gets the chance to watch a professional team train — this special opportunity was offered to our Westall Secondray College  iCreate Sport & Leisure group, and our students were lucky enough to be part of it!They watched Melbourne United train, practised alongside the players, played on their courts and finished with some fun in the shooting bays. Our students represented our school community exceptionally well and were inspired by NBA stars Joe Ingles and Cole Anthony. A huge thank you to Melbourne United, Ms Arvanitis and Hoop City Cheltenham for making this unforgettable experience possible! 🏀👏🏼
