Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers
First Holy Communion Celebrations
This Saturday, June 13th at the 6:00pm Parish Mass, our Year 4 students will take a significant step in their faith journey as they celebrate the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
This is a very special occasion as they receive the Body and Blood of Jesus for the first time. We ask our school community to keep these students, their families, and teachers in your thoughts and prayers during this meaningful time of preparation and celebration.
We are also very proud that a group of our Year 3 students will be sharing their musical talents by singing at the celebration in support of our Year 4 students. We thank these students and the staff who have helped them prepare for this special occasion. May it be a joyful, prayerful, and faith-filled celebration for all involved.
Feast of St Anthony - Saturday June 13th
The Feast of St Anthony of Padua, a beloved saint known for his deep faith and compassion for the poor and lost. St Anthony is often called upon as the “finder of lost things”.
Many of our families, especially those with Italian heritage, hold a deep devotion to St Anthony. His feast day is a special time to reflect on the values he lived by faith, kindness, and service to others.
As a school community, may we be inspired by his example to live with compassion, speak with courage, and reach out to those in need.
Let us pray:
Loving God,
We thank you for the life and example of St Anthony.
Help us to be generous with our hearts,
Attentive to those who are lost or lonely, And faithful in our love for You.
May we, like St Anthony, bring peace, hope and light into the world.
Amen
Extended Family Holidays
We know that many of our families will be enjoying well deserved overseas holidays and family travel over the coming months. If your child will be absent from school for an extended period, please remember to notify both the school office and your child’s teacher via email before your departure. Providing advance notice helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures we can support your child’s learning during their time away. We wish all travelling families a safe, enjoyable and memorable holiday.
Student Led Conversations
- Wednesday 24th June 4:00pm - 6:00pm
- Thursday 25 June June 9:00am - 6:20pm - School Closure Day
For students in:
- Year 1 OB Student-Led Learning conversations will be held on Thursday 6 August and a booking link will be shared closer to the date.
- Year 4ZK Student-Led Learning conversations will be held in the first week back in Term 3 and Ms Karalis and Ms Zorzut will be in contact to arrange an appointment time.
This is a valuable opportunity for students to share their learning, celebrate their achievements, and discuss their goals with their families.
As these conversations are designed to place students at the centre of the learning process, parents and carers will meet with the teacher alongside their child. This provides students with the opportunity to take pride in their learning and reflect on their progress.
If you would like to discuss any matters separately with your child's teacher, please feel free to arrange an alternative meeting time. In some cases, teachers may also contact families directly if further discussion is required.
Please note that school will be closed for normal classes on this day. Families requiring care for their children can access the program being offered by MACSEYE. Further information regarding bookings has been provided in the newsletter.
We look forward to welcoming families to this important partnership event and celebrating the learning journey of every student.
