Level 3

We have had a big few weeks in Level 3!
Open Night / Education Week
Thank you to all those who supported our school at our Open Night and helped us to celebrate Education Week. It was a great turnout in each classroom and wonderful to see our students enjoying sharing their learning with family and friends. As always- the cake stall was a big hit! Thank you to all who helped contribute to the success.
District Cross Country
Congratulations and well done to all the students who represented our school so beautifully at Cross Country last week. We are always proud of those who get out there and try their best, aiming high!
Our Learning
It is a great time of the year to be learning together.
In Numeracy, our students have been focusing on 3D shapes, looking at properties such as edges, faces, and vertices. We are now moving into fractions and all the fun they bring! Our Literacy learning has involved the sharing of many mentor texts with a focus on the environment and the roles we can take to ensure our community is healthy. The text we are sharing this week is “We are water protectors” and it ties in beautifully with our Inquiry unit. The students will spend the next 2 weeks exploring this text, looking at characters, perspectives, themes and authors messages as well as tying it to our grammar and spelling focus. We have also been playing "I 'mustache' you a question" and having a great time creating thin and thick questions.
