GAT and Mid-Year Exams
Over the past two weeks, Years 9-12 have taken their mid-year exams to practice their assessment skills. Students and staff have done a excellent job at being prompt and organised for each session. As part of this exam period, students completing a Year 12 subject have also undertaken the General Achievement Test (GAT) Exam. Students made a great effort in both sections of the exam and were able to reflect well on their areas of success and areas to improve. Year 12 students enjoyed the GAT Day Lunch excursion in between the two parts of the exam. Chocolate milk seemed to be the drink of choice for preparing for Section B!
Work Experience
On June 22-26, Year 10 students will embark on their work experience placements with employers across many industries. Year 10 teachers will visit and call students at their work placements and share student achievements with Level Leaders. Students are very excited about this opportunity.
City Experience
Year 9 students will take on City Experience in the coming week. This opportunity gives them the chance to expand their personal and leadership skills while also getting to enjoy the delights of the city.
Progress Meetings
Over the past month, Mr Ventieri, Ms McCarthy and Ms McNulty have met with Year 12 students and Year 11 students completing a Year 12 subject to check on their progress for Semester 1. These meetings allowed students to reflect on their successes and make plans for improvements to align with their goals for after school. Beginning early Term 3, progress meetings will be held for the remaining Year 11 students.
Have a lovely Term 2 break
