During term 2, the SVC Wellbeing committee has been hosting Breakfast Cereal Tuesday at recess each Tuesday. This is a free program our school is delivering to all students. It has been nice to see students supporting this program throughout the term.

Men’s Mental Health Month: It’s Okay to Talk
June is Men’s Mental Health Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to encourage boys and men to speak openly about how they are feeling.
Many males experience stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, but often feel pressure to “be strong” or keep their feelings to themselves. The reality is that mental health affects everyone, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Why This Matters
Research shows that many young men are less likely to seek support when they are struggling. Talking to someone early can make a big difference and help prevent problems from becoming overwhelming.
Ways to Support Your Mental Health
Support at School
At school, students can access support through the Wellbeing Team or a trusted staff member. No problem is too small to talk about.
Helpful Support Services in Australia
Lifeline Australia – Crisis support available 24/7.
Remember - You do not have to face challenges alone. Whether you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or simply not yourself, reaching out and talking to someone is one of the most important steps you can take.

We are excited to announce that as part of our Wellbeing Program, we are partnering with Ed Connect Australia! Already some of our students are looking forward to this wonderful opportunity.
Ed Connect offer a mentoring program. Mentors work face-to-face with the same student. They meet weekly, onsite at the school, enabling an awesome relationship to develop. Our Ed Connect Mentors will be a wonderful addition to our Learning Support and Wellbeing Team!
