ART and TECHNOLOGY

VCE Folios
It is that fabulous but busy time of year when our Year 12 folio students are bringing together their artistic visions for Unit 3. They are now showcasing their developing skills in Art Creative Practice, Visual Communication and Design, and Design and Technology. This year's folios reflect a diverse range of ideas and concepts, highlighting the creativity and exploration each student has undertaken as they develop their individual artistic identities through inquiry based learning. We cant wait to see the remainder of their journeys as they embark on Unit 4.
Food Around the World - Year 9/10
Our Year 9 and 10 Food Around the World students recently embraced an exciting challenge to bring a dessert to life that holds personal or cultural significance to them. Teachers were invited to taste test the creations, and they were thoroughly impressed by the incredible variety of desserts representing diverse cultures from across the globe. Each dish not only showcased the students' culinary skills but also told a unique story about them, making the experience both delicious and memorable.
Year 7 Woodwork/Systems
This term, Year 7 students worked on designing and constructing a laser-cut lamp. As part of the project, students designed the lamp lid, assembled the lighting components, and developed their understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
For the extension task, students were challenged to design, create, and attach a custom lampshade to their lamp. This provided an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the project and produced a range of imaginative and impressive designs. We were delighted to see the enthusiasm and innovation demonstrated throughout the task.
