On Monday 12 May, our school community united to acknowledge Do It For Dolly Day. This national initiative raises awareness about the impacts of bullying and celebrates kindness, compassion and connection.
In the lead-up to the day, students were invited to reflect on the theme of kindness by answering the prompt: “What three words represent kindness to you?” Their thoughtful responses were collected to create a vibrant word cloud.
On the day, students were encouraged to wear a touch of blue, Dolly’s favourite colour, as a symbol of support. Our Year 12 leaders helped foster a sense of unity by painting blue hearts on the faces of students and staff.
To raise funds and awareness, Hartzer House hosted a lunchtime fundraiser, selling blue doughnuts and Blue Heaven milkshakes. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, and all proceeds will go to supporting Dolly’s Dream.
Do It For Dolly Day was a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped build a culture of care across our school
