A few reminders of school organisation:
Contacting school or home through the day
All communication home through the school day needs to be made through staff at the Front Office – students are not permitted to ring/message a parent to come and collect them.
All students will be reminded of this via POD messages.
If students need to be collected through the school day, the parent/guardian listed contacts must come into the Front Reception area and sign the student out. Students are not permitted to leave unless this occurs.
Phone Usage at School
The following rules apply to the student use of phone at Monivae:
Phones are to be locked in student lockers throughout the school day – they are to be placed in there as soon as the student arrives at school
Phones are not to be carried throughout the day – they are not to be used at all unless directed by a teacher, eg filming for Art
Students may not take photos or record any other person whilst at school, or in school uniform, unless directed by a teacher
Students are not to contact a parent/guardian to collect them on a personal phone – they must report to Reception and organise this through Front Office staff.
Phones may be used after students are dismissed in the afternoon
Bus Information
As local sport is in full swing, a reminder that the following buses are the ONLY ones that have space available for students wishing to travel after school to local training sessions.
If you need a bus pass for local sport training, only these buses have seats available:
Coleraine - a pink pass for shuttle 9 and Coleraine 1
Penshurst - a white pass for Tabor 12
To be allocated a pass for either of these buses, a parent/guardian must email reception@monivae.vic.edu.au at least 3 days prior to the date of travel for a pass to be issued. A paper pass will be given to the student to use on that bus and must be carried each day of travel.
Unfortunately, there are NO BUS PASSES for Dunkeld or Glenthompson, as these buses are at capacity.
There are limited passes for Monivae 2 via Heywood. If you would like to travel on this bus, we require an email 3 days in advance and a ticket/pass will be issued by Reception. Payment on collection is mandatory.
Uniform
It is very pleasing to see that most students are currently very neatly dressed and adhering to the Uniform policy. A couple of reminders are listed below:
The College blazer is to be worn to and from school each day and for all Assemblies and Masses/Liturgies
Shirts must be tucked in, with top buttons fastened and tie neatly in place
Students may wear a watch and 1 set of earrings – no other jewellery is permitted to comply with our uniform policy and WH&S requirements
Thank you for your assistance with these matters.
