Library & Resource Centre Report

Towards the end of Term 1, our wonderful Mrs Helen Wilken accompanied four Year 10 students to serve our Uniting Church lunch.  Mrs Wilken was so full of praise and admiration for the way our students conducted themselves.  Well done to you all…and heartfelt thanks.  Your enthusiasm and commitment such an admirable thing to see.

Shave for a cure, always held on our final day of Term 1, was once again a resounding success with just over $13,000 raised.  What an incredible effort from all who were involved.

One of our very regular Library friends is Tabitha Dettling, now in Year 12.  Since she was in Year 8, Tabby has grown her hair with the intention of taking part in Shave for a Cure.   On the final day of Term, before the event, I took a picture of Tabby with her friends and supporters. Her very long hair had been tied up and plaited in readiness for the “big chop”.

Well done Tabby.

You had your intention from Year 8, stuck to your plan, we are very proud of you!
