Director of Students Report

Katee Mitchell

Mission Fair Day is an awesome way to finish Term 3 with the whole school involved in Liturgy, House Singing and then our fund-raising activities for those less fortunate than ourselves. I hope everyone has a lovely, relaxing break with family and friends and returns to finish the year with fresh energy and enthusiasm.

General Organisation for Term 4, 2025

Buses:

  • Please remember we require 3 days notice for any bus pass for all students to alleviate issues at the bus interchange. This request needs to be via email so that we can track seats and destinations to ensure successful travel.
  • There are still no bus passes being issued for Dunkeld/Glenthompson and Monivae 2 (Heywood/Portland) as there are no spare seats available.
  • ALL STUDENTS MUST REMAIN SEATED AND WEAR A SEATBELT WHILE TRAVELLING ON ANY SCHOOL BUS. This is a legal requirement for all public buses fitted with seatbelts and is endorsed by the College.
  • For students requiring term bus passes, please apply and pay online before the start of Term 4.
  • All country bus travellers (not including Portland or Casterton) will be required to accept their offer for bus travel in 2025 - we anticipate this to occur at the end of term 4. Please watch for an email from School Bus Victoria (DEET) – it may go to your junk email – this is very important to secure a seat for 2025. You will only have a 2 week window to accept the offer, otherwise it drops off and you will need to reapply. Please accept the offer you are given – if it is not what you are expecting, contact mferey@monivae.vic.edu.au and let Michelle know which bus you require.
  • Applications for students starting at Monivae in 2025 eg siblings, may be submitted from this point forward.
  • Bus seats will be at capacity for Dunkeld/Glenthompson for 2025, so please ensure that you respond as soon as you receive the email.

Uniform:

  • Summer uniform will be worn during Term 4 – please check all items are the correct size and in good condition during the holidays.
  • If the weather is still unseasonably cold, I will email on the weekend before we commence with advice about what to wear.
  • Please ensure that all items of clothing are named – there is a significant number of items of clothing in lost property that we are unable to return to students as they are un-named.

Happy Holidays everyone!
