Our Year 11 VCE Vocational Major (VCE-VM) and Victorian Pathway Certificate (VPC) students recently took part in boxing classes at Tribute Boxing, experiencing firsthand the physical and mental benefits of the sport in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Students were challenged through a range of boxing drills, fitness activities and partner exercises designed to push them beyond their comfort zones while building resilience, confidence and teamwork. Throughout the sessions, students quickly discovered that boxing requires much more than physical strength — discipline, focus, communication and respect are all essential.

The experience also reinforced many of the key capabilities embedded within the VCE-VM and VPC programs, including personal wellbeing, collaboration, perseverance and maintaining a positive mindset when faced with challenges.

It was fantastic to see students encouraging one another, embracing new challenges and approaching every activity with enthusiasm and determination. The sessions provided a great opportunity for students to develop both physical skills and personal confidence in a positive and encouraging environment.
