Year 9 Report

Keele Hillas

The Year 9's have returned from the holidays refreshed, positive, and ready to learn as we head into the final term of their Junior School years. It’s been fantastic to see students engaging well in class and supporting each other.

A friendly reminder that all students are expected to be in the correct school uniform each day. If your child requires support with uniform items, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone.

This week the Year 9's had a diversity afternoon ran by the Year 11 VCE:VM class. This gave our students' a wonderful opportunity to explore a wide variety of cultures through engaging and fun activities. Looking into the term ahead the Year 9's have ABC Haywire coming in, Year 9 into 10 Step Up program and the End of Year activities.

A massive congratulations to Bonnie, Paul, Jacinta, Noah and Sami from 9C and Jefferson, James and Ali 9E for winning the Legacy Project for Year 9. These students explored the current issue of casual racism and how it impacts them as a cohort. We cannot wait to see their ideas come to life.

Wednesday 10th-13th December – Year 9 Step Up program

This year we are excited to introduce the Year 9 Step Up program, where students will have the opportunity to have a taste test of life in 2026. This will be a wonderful opportunity to bond as a cohort and step up into their senior years with confidence. This will be during normal school times.
