Year 8 Health  

Our Year 8 students have been exploring two important and highly practical areas of Health this semester –Relationships and Sexuality and First Aid.  

Respectful Relationships & Consent Posters 

At the end of last term, students wrapped up their Relationships and Sexuality unit by designing educational posters on the topic of consent. After learning about personal boundaries, respectful communication, and decision-making, they applied their knowledge creatively through eye-catching posters aimed at promoting positive and inclusive messages. This task allowed students to demonstrate both their understanding and their ability to advocate for healthy, respectful behaviours among peers. 

Safety First: First Aid in Focus 

This term, students will shift their attention to safety and first aid. Through a mix of theory and hands-on practice, they will learn how to recognise and respond to common injuries and emergencies. From CPR basics to treating wounds and understanding DRSABCD, the unit aims to build essential life skills and confidence in real-world situations. 

We look forward to seeing our Year 8 students develop knowledge and practical strategies to help keep themselves and others safe.
