Science and Engineering Challenge - State Final
On Thursday 5 September, 25 of our talented Year 9 and 10 students took part in the highly anticipated Science and Engineering Challenge State Final, held at Deakin University in Geelong's Waurn Ponds. Competing against eight private and state schools from across Victoria, the event was the ultimate showdown of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
Throughout the day, our students demonstrated exceptional communication and teamwork, as they tackled a variety of hands-on challenges designed to test their adaptability and problem-solving abilities. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as each team worked together, applying critical thinking to develop inventive solutions to complex problems.
Although we narrowly missed out on first place and the chance to represent Victoria at the national final in Townsville, the experience was rewarding in so many ways. Spirits were high as the group celebrated on the bus ride home, belting out singalongs and reflecting on a fabulous day of fun and learning.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication and creativity shown by our students and look forward to returning next year for another shot at victory!
