Oakleigh Chargers v Eastern Ranges - Last year's grand finalists face off again
Congratulations to Year 12 student Sienna Tallariti (Captain of Oakleigh Chargers) as she leads her team into the quest for another grand final win. Sienna was best on ground in last year's grand final.
In August Sienna played in with VIC METRO, who claimed this year's Marsh Under-18 Girls Championships title after a comprehensive 21-point win over reigning premier South Australia. The following was written following this final:
"Sienna Tallariti was absolutely fantastic down back, showcasing her intercepting prowess as she continues to press her case as one of the most promising defenders in this year's draft crop."
Invitation to the National AFLW Draft Combine
Sienna is also to be congratulated on her recent invite to the National AFLW Draft Combine. A total of 91 AFLW Draft hopefuls will be put through their paces next month as part of the revamped AFL Women’s National and State Draft Combines. 47 players were invited to attend the 2024 AFLW National Draft Combine, with an additional 44 nominated for respective State Draft Combines.
Sienna has also been named Captain of the 2024 Coates Talent League Team of the Year!
We wish Sienna the very best for both the final on Saturday at Ikon Park and her quest to play AFLW.
