Volleyball

Thanks for everyone who participated in the Staff vs Year 12 Volleyball match last day of Term 1.  It was lots of fun and had a great vibe with lots of students coming to watch.

Thank you to Yauble and Aidan for organising the year 12 team, to Luke and Phoenix for setting up the net, Tia and Harvey for scoring, and the Candice for taking the photos at short notice.

A special thank you to all the staff who came out during their lunchtime to play. Looking forward to the next event in term 2!

Year 7 & 8 AFL 9-a-side Tournament

On May 14 we had two year 7/8 boys teams entered in the local Crows Cup 9-a-side football carnival at South Adelaide. Both teams competed in a great spirit and achieved an even number of wins and losses, finishing mid-tier in the competition. It was excellent to see all students improving across the day, adapting to different positions. We are very proud of their conduct and sportsmanship clearly upholding our School Values.

Pedal Prix

Aberfoyle Hub Primary School/Aberfoyle Park High School Pedal Prix Team, the Hubcaps Racing Team, boast a proud history.

In competition for 25 years, they have been National Champions in the Human Powered Vehicle Super Series in both Category 1 and 2 many times with many other podium finishes as well.

Participation for all is a primary aim, with team placements available for all sporting abilities and also students with disabilities. Students need to be committed to regular training as they work to improve their fitness and enjoy the team spirit that belonging to the Hubcaps brings.

Students interested in competing in the Pedal Prix can contact Brad Walkers at the Aberfoyle Hub Primary School. There are positions available for year 7 to 12 if interested in joining the team.
