Principal's Message

Dear MGSC Community

What an incredible month it has been! Our school is buzzing with excitement, and I’m thrilled to share some highlights with you.

Welcome to Our New Teachers

This month, we were excited to welcome two fantastic educators to our team. Madison Hill (Humanities/PE) and Cameron McPhail (Maths/Humanities) have already started making an impact in the classroom, and we are so lucky to have them at MGSC.

Careers and Subject Selection Expo

Our Year 9 and 10 students had a fantastic time at the Careers and Subject Selection Expo on Friday 2 August. They explored different career pathways, spoke with representatives from various universities, and gained valuable insights into their future studies. A big thank you to all the teachers and staff who made this event such a success!

Aerobics Nationals

Our aerobics and dance teams rocked the National Finals in Adelaide from 15th to 18th August. The students not only performed brilliantly but also showed incredible sportsmanship. Special congrats to Bella Cooper and Alice Whitesides on their gold medals – you’re all stars in our eyes!

Science Week & Book Week

Science Week was full of fun and learning with activities like Slime Making, a Women in Science Scavenger Hunt, and more. Now, we’re in the middle of Children’s Book Week, celebrating the magic of reading with quizzes, book swaps, and plenty of new reads for our library. It’s been a week of creativity and discovery!

Legally Blonde – Coming Soon!

Our school production of Legally Blonde - The Musical is almost here! The cast and crew have worked incredibly hard, and we can’t wait for you to see it. Performances run from 26 to 31 August, and it’s going to be a show full of energy, laughter, and pink!

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. Your involvement makes our school a special place where students can thrive, explore, and achieve great things. Let’s keep the positive energy going as we head into the final stretch of Term 3!

Best wishes
