Student Success Stories

Grace Rules

Year 10 student Grace Patten is one of four girls from Victoria who has made the all-Australian Under 15 Australian Rules football team. That makes Grace one of the top 22 players in the country in this age group.

Grace recently attended the National Championships and represented Victoria in Australian Rules football and of course plays for MGSC where she brings leadership in a captain role.

Congratulations to Grace!

Ace Umpire

Earlier this term, Ace Shields (Year 10) participated in the School Sports Australia Games in Queensland as a softball umpire. The Games saw over 2,000 student-athletes from eight jurisdictions plus Cook Islands and Fiji compete in an 11-day long multi-sport competition.

Ace umpired Under 18 matches - eight bases and one plate - and was also given the opportunity to umpire in a Bronze medal match.  It was their first interstate tournament and they are excited to do it again in the future.

Well done Ace! Sport officials are the unsung heros of sport competition. You are making a difference!
