Caring for Our Precious Water

During Science Week, the Rosella Group took part in a special incursion called Exploring Our Precious Water, presented by Rina from Greater Western Water. 

The children are learning about clean water, why it is important and how we can all help to look after it.

Together, we explored where we use water at kinder, how to save it, and how to care for the animals who share our environment. Inspired by these discussions, the children created a beautiful poster promoting water conservation, which we displayed near our water play areas as a friendly reminder to use water wisely.

We are also excited to share that our poster was entered in Greater Western Water's National Water Week Poster Competition, and the Rosella Group's poster entry won as Runner up in the Early Years/Kindergarten category. 

The children will be recognised at an awarding presentation during National Water Week and we are so proud of their achievement!
