James Phelan - Author visit

To launch our College Book Week celebrations, 50 Year 7 & 8 students were treated to a presentation by internationally renowned author James Phelan. James spoke to students about his childhood wish to be a writer and the journey he took to become one full-time.

He shared insights into the world of publishing and encouraged all students to follow their dreams. Students then participated in a Writer’s Workshop, where they received top tips for improving their own writing and had the pleasure of listening to James read from the first novel in his Alone series for young adults. 

Students were on the edge of their seats as they listened to cliffhanger endings to chapters and a significant plot twist to finish the novel. Thank you to Barb Cousens for organising this fantastic opportunity for our students.
