This year, our college celebrated Science Week 2025 with the theme “Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language.” The theme invites students to investigate the codes and patterns that shape our world—from DNA and animal communication to digital data and the mysteries of outer space. Science Week is a wonderful opportunity for students to apply their creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity while engaging in fun, hands-on learning.
As part of the celebrations, students are invited to enter the Science Week Competition. Entries are due by the end of Week 6 (Friday the 29th of August) and may take many forms—such as posters, artwork, videos, models, or digital projects. Students can work in pairs, and every participant who submits an entry will earn 10 PBS credits for contributing to this school-wide event.
The top two entries from each class will advance to the judging stage, where students themselves will help determine the winners for another year level.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries in each year group, including PBS credits, certificates, and a celebratory pizza lunch. We encourage all families and carers to support their children as they explore their ideas and prepare their projects. It’s a fantastic chance for our students to celebrate science, show off their creativity, and take pride in their learning.
