New Semester with New Opportunities
As we begin Semester Two, the year 7s have had the opportunity to sample a new set of electives for the year.
The electives running this semester are Music and Information Technology (IT) for 7F, D and B.
While 7A, C, E and G are participating in STEAM and Art in semester 2.
The students will have opportunities to engage in these electives for the remainder of Year 7 until they begin a new set of electives in Year 8.
Discovery
In our Discovery classes, we have covered a range of different things throughout the term so far.
From our belated celebrations and education of NAIDOC week.
This year’s theme was ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy’
We have also done a two-week block of lessons covering Bullying No Way week, which was 11-15th of August. These lessons focused on what bullying is defined as, the different types of bullying (Physical, Verbal/Written, Social, and Cyber) and ways to prevent being a victim as well as ways to be an upstander instead of a bystander.
All of this has continued to be supported and accompanied by our lessons on Zones of Regulation.
