Year 8 Medieval Day

Year 8 recently enjoyed an action-packed Medieval Day incursion, brought to life by the team at Multisensory Education. Students rotated through five hands-on sessions across the school, exploring life in the Middle Ages from every angle.
They trained as squires in the Tournament session, tested their aim in Archery, and got a taste of medieval justice in Crime & Punishment — complete with stocks and torture instruments! They also examined 1000 years of military history through Weapons & Armour, and discovered what learning and play looked like in a non-literate society through Games.
It was a fantastic day of immersive, curriculum-connected learning that brought history well and truly to life. A shout-out to Isabella Mckenzie who was deemed the most medieval of them all (best dressed)!
