Year 7: Silent Disco Social

Year 7 students have continued to adapt well to moving between our school buildings. Students have demonstrated growing independence and responsibility when travelling between campuses, and the daily walk has become an enjoyable part of their school routine.

The Interhouse Athletics Carnival was another wonderful opportunity for Year 7 students to demonstrate their energy, enthusiasm and House spirit. Whether competing in events, supporting their friends or cheering from the sidelines, students contributed positively.

On 27 August in Week 6, we have the Year 7 Silent Disco. Information and permission forms have been distributed to students and families by Direct Message. Please return the required forms and complete payment promptly to confirm attendance. https://www.trybooking.com/DOHPD

The Silent Disco is always a memorable evening and a valuable opportunity for students to strengthen friendships and build their sense of belonging within the cohort.

As Semester Two continues, students are encouraged to reflect on the feedback contained in their Semester One reports. Identifying areas for improvement, setting achievable goals and speaking with teachers about how to progress will help students continue to develop academically and personally.

Year 8: Strike Bowling Social

Year 8 students have welcomed Term Tjree with a positive attitude and a strong sense of maturity. They have embraced the school values and demonstrated responsible and respectful behaviour.

Students are reminded that maintaining high uniform standards is an important way of showing pride in themselves and the wider school community. Ties should be worn correctly with the top button fastened, and students are reminded to make sure jewellery policy is being followed.

There is much to look forward to throughout the semester. The Year 8 Social will take place in Week 8 and will provide students with an enjoyable evening of bowling, arcade games, pizza and time with friends. This event is always a highlight and offers students an opportunity to connect outside the usual classroom environment. More information will be sent out next week but you can book now: https://www.trybooking.com/DORBQ

Congratulations to our Year 7 and Year 8 students on such a strong beginning to Semester Two and to those students who have earned an Academic Award. We look forward to seeing them continue to make positive choices, support one another and make the most of the opportunities ahead.
