Branching Into Business

Ranges TEC now has a mobile plant stall. In the past we have sold the plants propagated in our farm nursery at monthly Sunday Rotary Markets in Lilydale, the Wandin East Horticultural Field Days, and the occasional stall at MECS.

While these outlets have been good, and we will still do some, they often don’t coincide with the time when plants are in flower, or looking their best and ready for sale. Also, there is often a conflict of interests on a Sunday, so a market is missed, another month goes by, and the plants sit there, maybe till next year when they flower again. 

Our solution, now implemented, has been to establish a mobile plant stall outside our office in Lilydale. The plant stand has been constructed with the assistance of our engineering students who welded it all together. Above the two shelves, now full of a variety of plants, there is a large attractive sign featuring information and photographs, which creates another avenue of promotion for all things Ranges TEC.
