Secondary: ICOM Students Shine at Wynspeak Public Speaking Competition

Students from the Islamic College of Melbourne recently participated in the Wynspeak Public Speaking Competition, held on Tuesday 05/05 at Good News Lutheran College, Tarneit.
The event featured 17 students from schools across Melbourne’s western suburbs and consisted of two components:
A prepared 4-minute speech on a topic of choice
A 90-second impromptu speech
ICOM was represented by:
Maliha Tasneem
Sana Syed
Mahabuba Mohamed
Laaibah Fatima
All students presented themselves with confidence and professionalism, delivering thoughtful and engaging speeches throughout the evening. Each participant received a certificate in recognition of their effort and participation.
We are especially proud of Sana Syed, who was awarded Best Impromptu Speech in the Senior Division. Sana’s speech, based on the topic “The Most Inspiring Person in My Life”, was a heartfelt reflection on her twin sister, Saniya, delivered with great
confidence and sincerity.
The competition provided a valuable opportunity for students to further develop their public speaking skills, confidence, and ability to think critically under pressure.
Congratulations to all students involved for their excellent representation of the College.
