Principal

Trent Colley (R Principal)

As the Relieving Principal of Francis Greenway High School, I would like to sincerely thank the entire school community—students, staff, and families—for the warm welcome I have received. It has been a pleasure to join such a vibrant and inclusive school. The school welcomes back Mr Brownsmith to begin Week 5 after taking leave for four weeks.

I’d like to thank our school community for their understanding and decision making over the past week as the Hunter region has dealt with a significant weather event. Safety of our community is the number 1 priority. At school, we have provided continuity of learning for our students as well as support if required for those that found it hard to access school due to road and weather conditions.

Our executive team is currently reviewing the school’s uniform policy. Wearing our school uniform fosters a strong sense of belonging, pride, and equity among students. We understand that there can be challenges, and the school is committed to supporting families who may need assistance. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I’d also like to thank our dedicated staff who continue to provide a wide range of extracurricular opportunities that enrich the educational experience for all students. This term, staff professional learning has focused on meeting the diverse needs of our students through the High Potential and Gifted Education Policy. Additionally, we have begun the important work of developing a Reconciliation Action Plan, led by our Aboriginal Education Team.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to provide the best possible outcomes for our students.

Warm regards

Trent Colley
