As the year progresses, we continue to look back on the wise words passed down through the ages:
“Yo, Maths is pretty sick” -Albert Einstein
Our Year 12 Mathematics students have officially begun their HSC revision journey. In class, they are working through a variety of past HSC papers to strengthen their exam technique, consolidate key concepts, and identify areas for improvement. As we remind them often—perseverance is the key to success. Every question attempted and every mistake learned from is a step closer to their goal.
Our Year 12 Numeracy students recently embarked on an exciting excursion to Newcastle, combining practical learning with problem-solving fun. As part their studies of real-world numeracy, students navigated train timetables and planned their travel schedules—putting time management and critical thinking into action.
The highlight of the day was an immersive escape room challenge, where students worked collaboratively to solve puzzles, test their reasoning skills, and, of course, try to break free! It was a fantastic opportunity to apply numeracy in a dynamic, engaging environment.
A great day was had by all, with plenty of learning—and laughs—along the way!
