At this stage I am unable to run Cuppa, Cake and Contacting days but there are still lots of books that need contacting. If you are able to volunteer your time and take home some books to contact it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me via email kirsty.lister@education.vic.gov.au so that I can prepare some books and contact for you.
Running from 28th July to 8th of August Book Fair was an amazing success. Sales totaled $3207.75.
Our rewards to purchase new books is $801 Thank you to everyone who made a purchase.
Students and staff were once again entertained by the Blurbs with their Book an Adventure show. With pillows and blankets on hand everyone assembled on the COLA for an hour of music and fun. Mr. Gilmore was lucky enough to have the whole school sing him Happy Birthday
What a great way to celebrate Book Week (my favourite week of the year) with our parade. Lots of fantastic costumes were paraded around the COLA. Great organization by Mrs. Davey and the student councillors. Thank you to all the students and parents for your efforts, I know the students appreciate the effort you go to. Photos are on the Student Council Page in the Newsletter.
Can you believe next years theme has already been announced!
Symphony of Stories
Our Library was fortunate enough to receive a donation from the Rotary Club of Eaglehawk of a copy of Marvellous Miles.
Please read the attached letter we received in conjunction with the copy of the book that tells the story of Miles and his diagnosis of epilepsy.
Scholastic Book Club has two issues a term. To order parents can order through the Scholastic App - Book Club Loop for Parents or the Scholastic website.
Please keep an eye out in your students bags for overdue notices, these will be on yellow paper. Students are unable to borrow when they have an overdue book. If books remain overdue a bill will be sent home.
Missing books are expensive to replace your assistance in returning these books is greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to find the books please contact Mrs. Lister via email
