Epsom Football League

Although we have had many interruptions throughout this term, we have still been able to achieve an excellent season so far. The Grand Final of the EFL will be held in the last week of the term.
Term 3 - Season 2, saw a few trades be completed, with coaches attempting to improve their teams and players changing alliances, particularly Grade 6 students aiming to achieve EFL success before moving to Secondary School.
At the beginning of this season, students around the school had more opportunities to be a part of the EFL. We opened an expression of interest for students to join a cheer squad for each team and trained some Grade 2 students to become official Goal Umpires. With this increased engagement, our formal participation in the EFL rose to over 130 students.
On the field, the Kings have looked strong and are a big chance to become the first team to go back-to-back in EFL history. Coach McGregor said "our older players have shown great leadership, and that will help us in the finals."
The Vipers have shown great form, with some of their young players shining bright. When asked about these players, Coach Price stated "these youngsters are the future of this team, and the future looks good."
The Bulls have been the big improver of the competition, with Coach Antonowicz stating, "If we don't win it this season, we will definitely win it soon."
Although the Pumas haven't improved a lot from last season, Coach Cumming has remained optimistic. "The vibe, support and energy around the team has been outstanding. It's just the vibe...I've got high hopes of this group achieving success."
Stay tuned to see how the EFL Term 3 Season finishes, with the Grand Final set to be held on our Footy Colours day next Wednesday.
Thanks to all the players, coaches, ground staff, umpires, supporters and House Captains.
