School Production

2025 Grade 3-6 School Production

August/September Update - 

All roles have been cast and dance, acting and singing rehearsals are well underway.

ALL actors in any of the 9 scenes MUST know their lines by now. We will have more intensive rehearsals next term, mostly to refine our scenes and make sure we are speaking nice and clearly, and acting in accordance to the character and situation.

Classes are choreographing their dancing, with each dance being almost entirely choreographed by the classes. 

Versions of these dances will be available on the website, if they are not already. 

Local musician and production song co-writer, Louise MacGregor, has run two sessions with our singers and rappers, with on more to go before the term is out. 

We hit the ground running next term, to make sure that our audience is entertained to the max with our show! 

Tickets will go on sale early next term.

GENERAL PRODUCTION INFORMATION:

Our 2025 Grade 3-6 School Production is Story Time Showdown! This is a home grown musical production, with the script being written by Mr. Mayes, and songs written by Mr. Mayes, Kaine Marsh (White Hills PS) and local musician Louise McGregor.

Please note - this production will include ALL Grade 3-6 students! There will be opportunities for students to take on singing, acting and rapping roles, with auditions happening in mid/late Term 2. However, all students will be on stage at least 3 times, whether they are in one of the approximately 80 significant roles, or as part of our chorus/dancing troupe. 

More information regarding auditions will be sent out early next term, but please make sure to save the date (Thursday November 6th @ The Ulumbarra Theatre).

We have a one-stop-shop website for students and parents that will house everything related to the production.

If parents of Grade 3-6 students could bookmark this, it will be very helpful, as we will use it a lot for home rehearsals and other information.

Once more, thank you to all families and friends who assisted in any way with our fundraising efforts. It is not cheap to run a high quality production at a state of the art venue without this assistance, and I am thrilled at the response so far. 

The students had a blast (and absolutely starred!) in our 2023 production, and they are super keen to get started on this one as well.
