Ancient Worlds Tour

During the September term break, our Year 11 and 12 Ancient History and Classics students embarked on an unforgettable two-week journey through Greece and Italy, bringing their classroom learning to life. From standing beneath the Parthenon and exploring the Acropolis in Athens to visiting the sacred site of Delphi, Mycenae and Olympia, students experienced the heart of the ancient Greek world firsthand.

The tour continued through Italy, where students explored Herculaneum and Pompeii, walked the streets of Ancient Rome, visited the Colosseum and Roman Forum, and marvelled at the treasures of Vatican City. Alongside these incredible historical experiences, students enjoyed cultural activities including a Plaka scavenger hunt, a gladiator school visit, and an Italian gelato-making class. The tour provided a unique opportunity to deepen students’ understanding of the ancient world.
