Future Work

Future of work at Melbourne University

A bunch of Year 10 and 11 students joined other young people at the University of Melbourne for Round 1 of the Future of Work event series, facilitated by Crazy Ideas College. The workshop placed young people at the heart of imagining and shaping the future of work in Australia.

During the morning, students workshopped ideas and explored themes about what the future of work could look like. They then presented their visions to industry professionals, including representatives from Google, the AFL, the University of Melbourne and City Council.

The day was a great opportunity for students to collaborate, share their perspectives and contribute ideas directly to people across a range of industries. Industry professionals mentioned that it was great to hear from young people about the uncertainties they are feeling about future. It put student voice into action, recognising that young people have an important role in shaping the working world they will enter.
