Innovate Grants

Earlier this year, students applied for Innovate Grants as part of our House Connect program and generously funded by the Northcote Thrive Innovate fund. Several applications across the school were successful and students have been working with staff to implement. 

Harrison (8D) noticed the long queues for microwaves in the canteen quadrangle which often led junior students to not feel confident having a place to heat up their food. He requested a grant for microwaves and worked with our facilities staff around upgrades to electricity and installation of new benches to facilitate an increase in microwave resources.  These new microwaves have been ready for use this term and already we've noticed a reduction in queues and wait time for students.
