State Athletics

On Friday State Athletics at Albert Park. Congratulations to Wolfgang Curry, Elijah Basile and Otis Shelley who all qualified to compete at this level.

Elijah competed in 100m and triple jump where he got a PB. He should be proud of his efforts not only with Athletics, but also Cross Country and many other sports throughout the year.

Otis qualified for the 1500m but opted not to compete. Well done to Otis for qualifying not only for State Aths, but he also competed at State Cross Country earlier in the year.

Wolfgang had a busy day competing in 5 events 100m, 200m, triple jump, long jump and High Jump. Bringing home 2 medals, coming 3rd in Long Jump and 2nd in Triple Jump, he also managed to get PB’s in Long Jump and 100m Sprint.

Wolfgang has been an outstanding and humble athlete throughout his 6 years at NHS. He has represented our school at State at Athletics every year since Yr 7.  He has also competed in several times at Cross Country. We wish him all the best for his Yr 12 exams and his future beyond NHS.
