Primary: Sunnah 2 Smile Week

During Term 3, our primary school celebrated Sunnah to Smile Week, a whole-school initiative centred around promoting positive mental health and wellbeing through the lens of Islam, while reminding students of the beauty and importance of smiling, kindness, compassion and good character.
Throughout the week, students participated in a range of meaningful wellbeing experiences designed to strengthen emotional awareness, encourage positive choices and equip them with strategies to support their mental health and wellbeing. These included wellbeing and mental health workshops, lunchtime activities, wellness picnics, student competitions and other interactive experiences across the primary school.
The week also included our special Sunnah to Smile Assembly, bringing students together to celebrate the key messages of the initiative through engaging student-led presentations and performances. Our SRC students also contributed to the week through a special fundraiser.
A key message throughout Sunnah to Smile Week was that caring for our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others can begin with simple but meaningful actions. A smile, a kind word, supporting someone in need or showing compassion can have a powerful impact on those around us and contribute to a happier, healthier and more connected school community.
Sunnah to Smile Week was a wonderful opportunity for our students to come together to promote positive mental health, celebrate the Sunnah of smiling and spread kindness throughout our college community.
