Secondary: ICOM among the top 16 schools in DAV Octo-finals

Congratulations to our ICOM Debating Team on competing in the DAV Octo-finals at Xavier College and finishing among the top 16 debating teams in Victoria.

Our Year 11 team competed against University High School in a secret topic debate. Although they did not progress to the quarter-finals, reaching the octo-finals represents a remarkable achievement and reflects the students’ commitment, resilience and development throughout the competition.

Congratulations to Amna Muhajireen, Bahja Yousuf Ali, Afsheen Anvar, Lareb Muhammad Jurial, Mayesha Ahmed, Armish Fatima, Sheza Merish, Maryam Taher and Khadija Dennaoui on representing ICOM with such pride.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to building on this success as Debating and Public Speaking continues to grow at ICOM in 2027.
